Hey everyone,

I feel like I’ve neglected this blog for quite a while now—and yet, ironically, it’s my most popular blog yet. Go figure. But I’ve transferred administration of this blog to the Tumblr account I do use more often (and by use more often, I mean the one I never sign off from) so I should be able to update it on a relatively more regular basis.

Also, most of my posts are mainly reblogs and not magazine scans of my own, so I apologize for that as well. Will work on fixing that soon. Hopefully.

Lastly, I’d like to take this opportunity to say thanks for all the follows. Over 600 followers is a milestone for me in my year’s time on Tumblr, so much appreciated. I’ll work harder from now on.

Happy (re)blogging!

I love your blog! And I love the theme! I no longer update the main blog attached to this account so I’ll follow you on my other account: talesoffloweringfortune. Feel free to follow me on that if you like what I post. Cheers!

although this blog might be a product of societal thought, do you think this blog perpetuates the ideal that being light-skinned and asian is more attractive/appealing/accepted/beautiful than being dark-skinned and asian?

I am Filipino and I don’t have the light skin that the Asians featured in this blog have. I don’t hate my skin color nor do I think that having light skin is superior in any way to having dark skin, Asian or not. This blog evolved to feature mainly models and celebrities of Japanese, Korean and Chinese descent because I’m personally a fan of these individuals. Also, I’m currently living in Japan and have more access to Japanese and Korean fashion magazines so when I upload my own scans, they feature Japanese or Korean fashion icons. Despite the narrow limitations of this blog and my use of the title “Pretty Asian Girls” I would hope people realize there are other forms of Asian beauty out there and many blogs that feature dark-skinned Asians exist to prove it. I would encourage you and my followers to check them out and follow them as well.
